Chelsea Rotary Club honors local veterans, including three from our community, at the Bob Wood Memorial Heroes Celebration, with a moving speech from Retired Brigadier General Jack Hammond.

Last week, members of the Chelsea Rotary Club had the honor of attending the Bob Wood Memorial Heroes Celebration, an inspiring event dedicated to recognizing the courage and sacrifice of our veterans.
This year, 32 veterans across District 7930 were proudly recognized, including some very special members of our own community:
Frank Kowalski, National Guard
Cheryl Lussier Poppe, Massachusetts National Guard
Douglas “Bruce” Mauch, U.S. Army
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Retired Brigadier General Jack Hammond of HomeBase for delivering a powerful and moving speech. His dedication to supporting veterans and their families continues to make a meaningful impact every day.
Today, and every day, we honor those who have served. To all our veterans—thank you for your courage, commitment, and sacrifice. Happy Veterans Day! ❤️🤍💙
